Treaty Day Out is returning in early 2025, this time to Gippsland/Gunaikurnai Country in South-East Victoria, bringing with it a celebration of Indigenous music, culture, and information and messaging on Treaty.

Headlined by A.B. Original, Treaty Day Out Gippsland is organised by the First Peoples' Assembly of Victoria, who are currently involved in negotiations for a statewide Treaty with the Victorian government.

The fifth of the festival series will feature an all First Nations line up, to be held at the Gippsland Sports and Entertainment Park in Morwell on Saturday, February 8.

Featuring alongside A.B. Original, whose appearance will be a prelude to their new album dropping in 2025, is Country music legend Troy Cassar-Daley, collective Electric Fields, and Blak collective 3% - fresh off taking home Best Hip Hop/Rap Release at last month's ARIA's.

3% member and Yuin and Thunghutti man, Nooky, said he was excited to be returning to the festival, having played Treaty Day Out in Ballarat earlier this year.

"Mob in Victoria are making history negotiating Treaty and it's exciting to watch and support them doing it," he said.

"These Treaty gigs are always deadly. We can't wait to get out to Gippsland and celebrate with everyone on Gunaikurnai Country."

The line-up is completed by Warnindhilyagwa woman Emily Wurramara, from Groote Eylandt, Uncle Kutcha Edwards, and Uncle Dave Arden, Gunai and Gunditjmara woman MpathSoul, and Canisha, who will return to the Treaty Day Out stage in partnership with the Songlines Music Aboriginal Corporation.

Assembly Co-Chair Ngarra Murray said Treaty Day Out Gippsland would be both a deadly afternoon of First Nations music and culture, and a chance for mob and allies to learn more about Treaty, as well as showing their support for the Treaty process.

"Treaty is all about empowering our communities and celebrating our cultures," she said.

"We want to see local knowledge being used to come up with practical solutions at a community level, so it's great to have events like this to bring people together.

"If you're mob, help get Treaty done – enrol with the Assembly and enjoy Treaty Day Out Gippsland."

Assembly members will be attending the concert, with community members having the opportunity to have a yarn and ask any questions about Treaty at an information stall.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are enrolled with the Assembly will get free entry.

Eligible people can enrol online.

Tickets for allies and people not enrolled can be purchased for $75. Concession and companion tickets are available for concession card holders and kids who are 15 years and under get free entry.
