Lismore City Council has selected Bundjalung artist Tywana Caldwell to feature her artwork in its upcoming Reconciliation Action Plan.
Ms Caldwell's piece, Ngulliboo - a Bundjalung word meaning "all of us"—will represent the Reconciliation Action Plan's (RAP) vision.
Reflecting on the opportunity, Ms Caldwell said she was honoured to contribute to her community.
"I am a proud Bundjalung woman from the Widjabul Wia-bal people here in Lismore," she said.
"My family is from here, it's my community, and this is where I grew up and still currently live.
"The artwork is a representation of my interpretation of what I think Lismore stands for."
Ms Caldwell elaborated on the significance of sharing her art.
"The things that shaped my belief in why I think Lismore is really beautiful," she said.
"It's beautiful to share because it is about our community, about Lismore, about the people here."

Mayor Steve Krieg said Ms Caldwell's work reflects the values of the RAP.
"It is important that as a Council, we support our young people and nurture the incredible talent within our community," he said.
"Ms Caldwell's artwork is a reflection of the strength, connection, and unity that we strive for through our Reconciliation Action Plan."
General Manager Jon Gibbons said the artwork serves as a reminder of Lismore's commitment to reconciliation.
"As we work on our fourth Reconciliation Action Plan, this incredible artwork serves as a reminder of Lismore's strength through community and our commitment to strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples," he said.
The RAP is in the community consultation phase, with a framework being developed to outline Council's commitments to fostering relationships, respect, and opportunities with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Council has engaged East Coast Heritage and Archaeology's Tim Roberts to assist with consultation and gather community input.
A 'Your Say' survey is open for public feedback.
Residents can also attend a community drop-in session at the Lismore Library Meeting Room, Lismore Central Shopping Centre, on Wednesday, 19 February, between 10am and 2pm to speak with Mr Roberts and contribute to the RAP.
