Celebrated as a successful social enterprise and not-for-profit clothing company that reinvest their profits back into social programs in remote Indigenous communities, this month House of Darwin has announced that they are proud to support local small-scale, non-profit and donations-based organisation, The Pads Project
Supporting this project is part of the organisation's House of Darwin Foundation, which has a mission of empowering communities through various realms including sports, education and social initiatives.
"The House of Darwin Foundation is proud to have donated $1000 to the Pads Project, supporting local organisations that directly impact individuals in remote communities throughout the Territory," House of Darwin said in a statement.
"The Pads Project is a local small-scale, non-profit and donations-based effort aiming to deliver donated women's sanitary products to remote Indigenous communities in the NT. We aim to deliver products over the coming months via aeromedical transport and retrieval service. Thank you to @careflight_nt who have volunteered their valuable time and resources."

This is one of the many organisations and methods through which House of Darwin and The House of Darwin Foundation strive to support communities.
Supporting the Pads Project will see many Indigenous women benefit. With little advocacy or discussion surrounding the topic of how women in remote Indigenous communities access sanitary products, House of Darwin's choice to support the Pads Project will aid in both further support and advocacy surrounding the issue.
