Gomeroi rapper and storyteller Kobie Dee has been announced as the live entertainment for the Isuzu UTE A-League 2026 Grand Final, marking his first performance at a major national sporting event.
The Grand Final will be played on the weekend of May 23 and 24, with the location still to be decided.
The announcement follows the release of his new single 'Aim For The Stars', which has been chosen as the official sync for the Isuzu UTE A-League 2026 Finals Series campaign on Paramount+.
The track pairs Kobie Dee's rise in music with the wider themes of ambition, resilience and stepping up for major moments.
Raised on Bidjigal Land in Maroubra, South Sydney, Kobie Dee draws from his own journey on the single, from freestyling in local parks to building a national music career while staying connected to community.
He said the song was written to encourage young people to believe their dreams were possible.
"I want people to hear this song and feel like no dream is too big," Kobie Dee said.
"Especially young people coming from the same streets I started in. I want them to believe that they can see themselves in these spaces too. For me, Aiming For The Stars means taking Maroubra to the world, not leaving it and just telling stories about it."
'Aim For The Stars' was written with producer NERVE and collaborators WYES, GENE and SMAK.
The song's hard-hitting production, layered horns and crowd sounds capture the energy of football finals while keeping Kobie Dee's storytelling at the centre.
Kobie Dee said the beat helped the lyrics come together quickly.
"When NERVE started the beat, I just went straight in with the lyrics," he said.
"It was one of those moments where everything flowed and I was able to get everything off my mind."
The link with the A-League Finals Series gives the song a national sporting platform while highlighting Indigenous representation across sport, music and other industries.
Kobie Dee said the campaign strengthened the song's message.
"It didn't change how I viewed the song, it solidified it," he said.
"It's a song that connects with anyone chasing something, whether that's in sport, music or anything else."
Kobie Dee has become one of Australian hip-hop's recognised voices, with two gold-certified tracks and ARIA nominations to his name.
His music often centres healing, empowerment and truth-telling, with stories drawn from his life, family and community.
In 2025, he founded Twenny47 Studios, a creative space in Maroubra dedicated to supporting and mentoring emerging First Nations artists.
Kobie Dee said Indigenous talent reaches across many fields.
"We dominate in sport, but we're also incredibly creative," he said.
"There's so much talent in our communities that could have gone into music or sport."
'Aim For The Stars' is available on all major streaming platforms now.
