Mandandanji/Waanyi rapper Say True God? returned home to Magandjin for the penultimate leg of his BLAK album tour, performing to a packed crowd at Wonderland.
He told National Indigenous Times the response to the tour had surprised him.
"The reception's been crazy and it's been a surprise to me," he said.
"I suffer from imposter syndrome so I don't expect people to come and pay to watch me perform. But I'm surprised they showed out."
The evening began early with a sound check that doubled as a meet and greet, giving fans the chance to talk, take photos and share laughs with the artist.
He said meeting people before each show has become an important part of touring.
"It's been my networking, meeting brothers and sisters from each town as well and then networking," he said.
"Even to the point where we meet locals and they take us out on their Country or show us what's there to do in their community."

Say True God? led a strong lineup featuring high-energy acts ThaRealJC, JJ4k, ECB members Nate G, Deltoy and Big Deej, Shely210 and a reunion performance by local legends Poetic Murriz.
Reflecting on the local talent, he said the performances stood out.
"I was shocked that amount of people came to watch us perform," he said.
"All of the performers were solid. JC - that was his first time performing - he did amazing, definitely someone to keep an eye on and to share the stage with them [Poetic Murriz] was a full circle moment."

The night was filled with music, energy and community spirit.
Say True God?'s set featured much of his debut album, including a heartfelt tribute to his late mother.
He said the project carries his personal values.
"The BLAK album I think it's just a representation of me as a man of my values and morals and showcases my love for my family and my children and my woman... and then my culture as well."

The show ended with family, friends and fans joining him on stage to perform the final track.
Despite a cancelled Darwin show earlier in the tour, he said the team still prioritised community visits.
"We had a show in Darwin that got cancelled and then we made it a priority to go out still and experience the people in the community. We even like, went to a primary school to put on a show."
Ewamain, Cobble-Cobble, Birri and South-Sea Islander Woman and Say True God?'s fiancée, Allirah Fisher, said the night carried deep meaning.
"I was so nervous before the show... it felt so special and important."
He will wrap up the BLAK tour in Cairns next week.
"This is the second last show. We've got Cairns next week. I'm excited for that too because Cairns is beautiful. I'm just excited for what's next."
The BLAK album is available on all major streaming platforms now.
