Set to kick off in May, Great Southern Nights will return in 2026 with a special performance from First Nations singer Jessica Mauboy.

Mauboy's show The Story of Me: A Musical Journey Through My Career, sees the talented creative reflect on her evolution from a young Darwin girl to one of Australia's most celebrated artists.

Through music and candid storytelling, she opens up about the defining moments of her career, the highs, the setbacks, and the resilience it took to keep moving forward.

Audience members will experience heartfelt ballads, reimagined classics, and powerhouse anthems as Mauboy shares stories of leaving her long-time record label to reclaim creative control and launching her own music label and beauty brand, Desert Rose.

The intimate performance offers a glimpse into Mauboy's life as not only an artist and entrepreneur, but also as an extremely proud Kuku Yalanji woman.

Speaking on the upcoming event, Mauboy took to social media to reveal the announcement and share her excitement.

"I am so excited to announce that I will be bringing my show ' The Story Of Me: A Musical Journey Through My Career' to @cityrecitalhall Sydney for one night only this May," Mauboy said via an Instagram post.

"We're going on a journey through the highs and lows to reclaiming creative independence.

"Presented by @greatsouthernnights and with special guest, my sissy @jemcassardaley I truly can't wait for this show."

Joining Mauboy is special guest Jem Cassar-Daley, who is set to bring an qually impressive performance.

Great Southern Nights 2026 takes place from the 1st - 17th of May 2026 featuring 300+ gigs across Sydney and New South Wales. Jessica Mauboy will perform on Friday the 1st of May from 8pm to 8:30pm.
