Despite being most known for his presence on Tik Tok, Lindyn Rowland has other successes to his name including being both the founder and creative director of First Nations eyewear brand Rowland Vision.

Since launching in 2022, Rowland Vision has been featured in pages of Vogue and worn by the likes of celebrity singer, Kid Laroi.

Having recently launched the brand's new SS23 collection, the proud Wiradjuri and Waiben Island man said the newest collection is not only a reflection of the business's creative growth but his own.

"The latest collection SS23 is the largest, longest and most thought-out project I have worked on since launching Rowland Vision in February 2022," said Rowland.

"SS23 is the first collection to feature larger sized styles + a collection of metal pieces, which I have wanted to do for so long.

"I wanted everything to do with this collection to be expressed differently. I wanted people to feel liberated when wearing these new pieces. I also wanted to showcase my creativity in every aspect, that being my passion for creative direction and styling."

Whilst not having been in operation a long time, Rowland Vision's inclusion in Australian magazines and media has seen the brand go from success to success.

"The brand growth since launching has been very crazy, and something I thought I could only dream of," Rowland told Style Up.

"My first ever collection was featured in Vogue Australia within 3 months, featured on the runways at nationwide fashions weeks, and now recently a few styles from SS23 are a permanent piece worn by Genesis Owusu on their US tour."

Having already featured in Australian Fashion Week and recently participated in Melbourne Fashion Week, when discussing the brand's continual growth and possible international exposure Rowland confirms that he hopes to see the brand feature on both Australian and international runways.

"I would absolutely love to see Rowland Vision on an international scale as it is seen/worn here in Australia. I especially want to see Rowland Vision on runways at New York, or Milan Fashion Week," he said.

When discussing future plans for the business and whether Rowland Vision will expand beyond eyewear, Rowland confirms that whilst the eyewear brand has been successful he hopes to see it develop to much more.

"I don't want to give too much away haha. However, I have been working on expanding Rowland Vision into something bigger than an accessory and you'll just have to wait and see what is coming." he said.

Having announced on social media this week that Rowland Vision's SS23 collection will be the brand's last eyewear collection further proves that Rowland has bigger plans for both his business and personal brand.

"Our most recent collection SS23 is the last eyewear collection to be released in 2023, and early 2024. Until then, I hope you find joy in all available collections + products, and continue to share your vision with others," Rowland said in a post shared to his business's Instagram."

Being the first and only First Nations independently owned eyewear brand with seven collections and over 40 products available worldwide, this is not an end to Rowland Vision but rather a redirection.

"My biggest advice is to follow your dreams, manifest and most importantly have fun with your business or side hustle," he said.
