RONA. returns with new single 'Show Me'

Joseph Guenzler -

Kaytetye producer and DJ RONA. has released her first original track of 2025, a new single titled 'Show Me'.

The release is paired with a cinematic music video directed by Arrernte and Kalkadoon filmmaker Tyson Perkins.

The visual piece presents a Black Futurist vision which honours ancestral knowledge while imagining sovereign futures.

RONA. said the track was shaped during a time of uncertainty and reflects a deep spiritual call for direction.

"'Show Me' is a haunting, powerful plea to Ancestors in moments of uncertainty," she said.

"Carried by pulsating synths and grounded in the rhythms of Country, the track channels the feeling of being at a crossroads, when the noise of the world makes it hard to hear your own direction.

"It's a sonic invocation for clarity, for guidance, for signs from those who've walked before us."

The single blends club energy with grounded storytelling, layering skipping basslines, percussion and clapsticks with field recordings and vocal samples.

It expands on RONA.'s distinctive sound, which draws from both contemporary electronic music and her connection to desert Country.

'Show Me' follows her earlier work including 2022 debut 'Closure', and singles 'Aperleye,' 'Raise it,' and 'Burn It' featuring KYE.

Through each release, she has continued to explore rhythm, oral storytelling and sonic expressions of sovereignty.

RONA.'s music has been praised by outlets including triple j, Double J, FBi Radio, mixmag, The Guardian and Triple R, and has helped position her as a leading figure in First Nations electronic music.

A regular on the festival circuit, she has performed at Laneway, Pitch Music & Arts, Strawberry Fields, Sonder and Splendour in the Grass.

She has supported artists including Mall Grab, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Overmono and Pretty Girl, and appeared on lineups with Four Tet, Leon Vynehall, John Hopkins and Chaos in the CBD.

In 2024, RONA. made her Boiler Room debut at Sugar Mountain with a set which weaved original music and archival samples tied to resistance movements.

In 2025, she co-headlined a sold-out show at Naarm/Melbourne Town Hall for RISING Festival alongside DJ PGZ.

RONA. continues to build a catalogue rooted in connection to Country, sound and story, and is known for blending her cultural legacy with contemporary forms.

'Show Me' is out now via RARRÉ Records.
