Known within the fashion industry for his down to earth nature and growing presence on the runway, this year First Nations model Pierce Jones has had yet another success with the talented model now announcing that he has signed to international modelling agency, Next London.
After growing his presence on the domestic runway, First Nations model Pierce Jones has announced he has signed with international modelling agency, Next London.
Despite currently living in Sydney, the Bundjalung man said he was eager to expand his career internationally.
Jones said he has commenced 2025 focused on working as much as possible as well as committing to his health and wellbeing.
"I've primarily been focused on my health and fitness to give me better opportunities within the industry becoming the best version of myself," Jones said.
"I've been focused on working as much as possible, whether it be e-commerce or campaigns to be able to set myself up for greater opportunities."


After singing with Next London, Jones said he is eager to become the only Indigenous male model currently working in Europe.
"I head over late April until to the end of July," Jone said. "Finishing my trip in Milan with hopes of being the first Indigenous male to walk an international runway.
Jones said he considers the growing Indigenous fashion industry "very inclusive".
"... which is beautiful," he said, "and I do see some opportunities within the industry itself.
"However, it would be lovely to see a push for more international representation.
"In terms of do I believe the industry is seeing more First Nations models, I would say yes, but I've witnessed influxes of models coming and going.
"Prioritising consistency of talent discovered to be able stay and grow within this field is something I personally would love to see more of."

Jones said for aspiring models to succeed it does come down to being persistent, nurturing health and maintaining a positive mindset.
"Honestly I would say the key things would be looking after yourself as best you can," he said.
"... working out, eating healthy, not getting too involved in the party lifestyle that comes with it all and prioritising your mental health.
"Also remembering you are an individual and to not compare yourself to others as that can be easy to get caught up in.
"If someone is finding themselves having trouble breaking into the industry, to them I would say just keep trying.
"It only takes one opportunity to get the ball rolling and from there everything will open up if you're ready for it."
When looking back at career highlights since starting his career as a model, Jones said it was a shoot he did in Byron Bay for Lee Jeans which made him reflect on his success and growth as a model and creative.
"For me personally it would be the first paid job I did 5 years ago," he said. It was a Lee Jeans campaign in the hills of Byron Bay at a beautiful mansion.
"I remember being so taken back by the whole experience and just how grateful I was. The day was really fun and the fact I got paid to be there I remember being so mind blown."

In addition to career progression, ones said he is eager to represent mob on an international level.
"It feels empowering to know I have a role of inspiring others," he said
"When I came into this industry I had no idea of any other Indigenous models or what that even meant to be one.
"Seeing now the impact that has knowing I may have had any part in the future of First Nations models is quite a surreal feeling.
"It makes me want to see how far I can take my career and create as big of a space I can for those next to come."
Bound to appear on many runways overseas, Jones is set to take on several career defining opportunities both on and off the catwalk.
