Samoa has set a new milestone in the Miss Pacific Islands pageant, becoming the most successful nation in the competition's history since its inception in 1987.
The achievement follows the crowning of Miss Samoa, Litara Ieremia-Allan, as the new Queen of the Pacific at the 38th Miss Pacific Islands pageant, held in Honiara, Solomon Islands.
Ms Ieremia-Allan was grateful for the experience.
"Humbled, honoured, thankful," she said.
"The journey begins as your new Miss Pacific Islands 2025!
"Thank you, thank you, thank you my Wansolwara, my Moana Pasefika."

When the winner was announced, Litara Ieremia-Allan was crowned Miss Pacific Islands 2025-2026, securing Samoa's ninth title and breaking a tie with the Cook Islands.
This victory brings the crown back to Samoa, continuing a legacy of excellence in the pageant and following the reign of former Miss Samoa and Miss Pacific Islands, Moemoana Safaatoa Schwenke.
It also marks the fifth time a Samoan representative has won the title outside of Samoa, highlighting the competition's broad appeal and influence.

Ms Ieremia-Allan success extended beyond the main title, as she also claimed the Miss Photogenic award and the Best Interview category, making it the second consecutive year Samoa has won the latter.
Her poise, intelligence, and charm stood out, impressing both the judges and the audience.
The win is a source of immense pride for Samoa, not just for her family but for the entire nation.
Onomea Production, the organisers of the Miss Samoa pageant, played a significant role in this achievement.
This marks their second Miss Pacific Islands title since taking over local organisation duties, securing the crown in both years they have overseen the event.
Miss Tonga finished as first runner-up, winning Best Traditional Attire and Miss Internet.
Miss American Samoa placed second runner-up, earning additional awards for Best Talent and the Miss National Tourism Award.
Miss Solomon Islands secured third runner-up, while Miss Cook Islands completed the top five as fourth runner-up.
With the 38th Miss Pacific Islands pageant now concluded, attention shifts to next year's competition, which will be hosted by Fiji.
