The Schwarzkopf Professional Shaping Futures Program is returning in 2024, with Schwarzkopf announcing the program will continue its partnership with First Nations lifestyle brand, Liandra.

Created as a global initiative, the Shaping Futures program has a mission to empower young adults through the art of hairdressing. The program equips aspiring hairstylists with the skills and confidence they need to unlock their potential.

With 20 placements to fill, Schwarzkopf have partnered locally with Charles Darwin University to deliver a week-long professional development opportunity for budding local hair enthusiasts.

Learning from some of the industry's top stylists, the week will include one-day meet and greet in Darwin, a three-day workshop led by Schwarzkopf and an on-the-job opportunity on a very special Liandra and Schwarzkopf Professional photoshoot.

Liandra founder Liandra Gaykamangu says it is a very exciting opportunity, with both brands having a mutual desire to give back.

"Liandra's continued partnership with Schwarzkopf was born from a mutual desire to give back. We were both excited to work together at Australian Fashion Week, but the opportunity to also do good was the cherry on top of an exciting coming together of the two brands," Gaykamangu told Style Up.

Schwarzkopf is looking forward to continuing the program's partnership with Laindra for yet another year.

"We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Liandra for the Schwarzkopf Professional Shaping Futures program. Together, we are dedicated to transforming lives through the art of hairdressing and fashion, empowering aspiring stylists with the essential skills and confidence they need to succeed in the industry," said marketing and customer engagement manager Elizabeth Tran.

The Shaping Futures program will run from the 23rd to the 27th of September 2024, at Charles Darwin University TAFE, Palmerston Campus. Applications for the program close on the 26th of August 2024.
