Indigenous-owned and founded luxury swimwear label KAMARA Australia has announced its Summer 2024 campaign will be the brand's last.

After seven iconic summers of empowering consumers to enjoy the outdoors with confidence and style, KAMARA co-founder, Naomi Collings, announced she is taking a step back, but not before celebrating the milestone with a month-long event to honour the brand's remarkable journey and devoted community.

"When we started, we purely wanted to make beautiful swimwear that let buyers enjoy worry-free time in the sun, something I was searching for after my Melanoma diagnosis," Collings said.

"Growing this community of sun lovers, adventurers, and bold spirits with my Sister Kirsty has been an honour. As we pause on future collections, we want to thank our buyers by celebrating with them for one last Summer."

With KAMARA's signature style having strived to push beyond traditional designs and patterns, the brand's bold designs and innovative materials which provided premium sun protection quickly became popular.

Gaining the attention of both media and consumers, KAMARA walked the runway at many fashion weeks and festivals.

In celebration of the brands closure this December, KAMARA is inviting its community to a thank you celebration.

The event will include special pricing on its final collection, featuring beloved one pieces, rash guards, and beach accessories.

Each item serves as a stylish reminder of KAMARA's mission to combine skin health, quality, and timeless design.

"After an amazing journey, it's time to "peace-out" for now by celebrating our success," Collings said.

"This isn't a goodbye—it's a chance to reflect on everything we've achieved together with our incredible community who value our unwavering commitment to sun safety, quality, and style," said Collings.

KAMARA's commitment to excellence extends beyond its products and international appeal.

The Indigenous-owned label has a reputation for quality Australian made pieces, which promote sustainability and support community organisations.

Its impact on Australian fashion, from runways to beaches, is a testament to its dedication to empowering buyers to feel both protected and beautiful.

Throughout December, KAMARA invites its fans to join the celebration, sharing memories on social media using the hashtag #kamaraswim.
