First Nations fashion label Liandra has joined forces with Australian sunglasses label Pared Eyewear following their collaborative success at this year's Australian Fashion Week.
Featured on the models who walked Liandra's solo Australian Fashion Week runway, the new range of collaboration collection shades are unique in honouring both brands' modern approach to design.
The runway introduced Liandra's first foray into accessories, with the collaboration coming about after Pared Eyewear founder Samantha Stevenson-Baker teamed up with Liandra Gaykamangu to design an exclusive collection built on 3 iconic Pared shapes.
"We're thrilled to announce our collaboration with designer Liandra Gaykamangu for her LIANDRA solo runway debut at Australian Fashion Week," the Pared Eyewear team said via social media.
"This debut, showcasing her stunning ESSENCE collection, marks a new era for LIANDRA as a global lifestyle brand.
"Thank you, Liandra, for including us in this milestone moment."

Amidst a billowing set of sunset hues, a cast of talent embodying the Yolngu woman showcased the designer's latest collection of sustainably and ethically made women's ready to wear and reversible swimwear, inspired by her cultural connection to guku (the native honey bee).
The swimwear was coupled with bright, bold and fun sunglasses designs, featuring gradient lenses and hand-crafted frames in bottle green, burgundy, pinks, oranges and flashes of gold, created to coordinate effortlessly with the ESSENCE collection.
Featuring a hand-drawn native honeybee by the designer, Gaykamangu has been etched into the handmade frames.

"Essence embodies a multi-dimensional story that is translated through my hand-drawn prints, each a contemporary representation of how I see, experience and appreciate guku and my rich family history and culture," Gaykamangu said.
"I hope my personal inspiration of guku can be translated to your world.
"I see honeybees as an unwavering, powerful symbol for the way we all live our beautifully complex lives - busy, buzzing and a reminder to feel the release and savour the sweetness of the slow sweet moments too."

While the collaborative collection is both chic and stylish it also speaks to the fashion industry's growing interest and eagerness to collaborate with First Nations designers.
The Liandra x Pared partnership is one of many unique collaborations anticipated from designer Liandra Gaykamangu and her fashion-forward First Nations brand.
